If you have questions about best practices and the practice of psychology, we provide consultation. This service is available to lawyers, mental health clinicians (psychologists, counsellors, therapists), and members of the public.

Regulatory Supervision

Dr. Jesse Elterman previously served as the Deputy Registrar for the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (CPBC). He is qualified to provide consultation and supervision to registrants regarding standards of practice and professional ethics.

Professional Executor Services

We provide professional executor services as a courtesy to other registered psychologists in BC. We also take possession of other registrants’ records upon retirement, for a small fee, as registrants are required to transfer their files to another registrant upon retirement (Code of Conduct Standard 14.7). This includes assisting with digitizing records, notifying former clients how they can obtain copies of their records, and being responsive to records requests on behalf of the former registrant.

A Tailored Approach

It’s difficult to deal with mental health issues on your own. Our process is collaborative and supportive to help you get “unstuck” and to build the life you want to live. We start with a brief phone call to see whether we are a good fit (at no cost to you), and if you decide to proceed, we develop a plan together to help you achieve your goals. This can be related to your mood, your thinking, or your behaviour, primarily using a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) approach.

Our approach focuses on outcomes and helping address issues to help you move forward. An important question at the start of therapy is, “What do you want your life to look like in the future?” If you don’t know the answer yet, that’s where we start.
